I find it amazing that my job normally occupies very much of my brainspace most of the time, but when I have several days off (like now) I barely think of work at all.

Best thing today: a dip in the outdoor spabath watching a good movie on my ipad (in its waterproof case).

This is my ninth Christmas in Sweden and I still feel like it's cheating to open all the presents on the 24th.

The digits on the scale have stood completely still for almost three weeks but I've decided to focus on the digits I read every morning on my blood glucose monitor: beautiful tiny numbers that confirm that I am living without diabetes.

I adore the way it feels to stay up late on Sunday night when I don't have to get up early on Monday!

Not rain, not wind, not the herd of cows blocking my every move could keep me from a lovely, brisk 5k walk this day!

I missed a day. That means I can write two lines now.

I have a string of blue Christmas lights around my bedroom window that I'll probably leave up all year long because they glow like the world's best nightlight.
